Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using GrailHunt ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

GrailHunt is an automated deal-finding tool that scans Japanese online marketplaces — specifically Buyee and Yahoo Auctions Japan — for clothing and accessories listed below estimated US resale market value. We provide:

• Automated scanning and deal detection across 50+ luxury and streetwear brands
• Market price comparisons based on publicly available resale data
• Estimated profit calculations (Elite plan)
• Email deal alerts for items matching your criteria (Elite plan)

Important: GrailHunt is NOT a marketplace. We do not sell, buy, broker, or facilitate any transactions. We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Buyee, Yahoo Japan, or any Japanese marketplace. All purchasing decisions and transactions are made directly between you and third-party platforms.

3. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@grailhunt.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscription and Billing

• Free tier: Limited access — 10 listings per brand, restricted filters, no alerts or advanced features. No payment required.
• Pro plan: $19.99 per month — unlimited listings, all filters, deal scoring, favorites.
• Elite plan: $39.99 per month — everything in Pro plus email deal alerts, custom thresholds, price history, profit calculator, and priority notifications.
• All subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe and auto-renew unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
• No refunds are provided for partial months or unused portions of a subscription period.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days written notice to existing subscribers. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use GrailHunt for personal deal-finding purposes only. You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or share access to your GrailHunt account
• Scrape, crawl, data-mine, or programmatically access GrailHunt’s data, interface, or API
• Attempt to circumvent the paywall, plan restrictions, or rate limits
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable burden on the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service

6. Intellectual Property

All content, code, design, branding, data analysis, deal-scoring algorithms, market rate intelligence, and premium keyword databases are the exclusive property of GrailHunt. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service.

Listing data, photographs, and item descriptions displayed within the Service belong to their respective marketplace sellers and are shown under fair use for price comparison purposes.

7. Third-Party Services

GrailHunt provides links to third-party Japanese marketplaces, including Buyee and Yahoo Auctions Japan. Any purchases you make on those platforms are transactions between you and those platforms. GrailHunt is not a party to any such transaction and is not responsible for:

• Item condition, authenticity, sizing, or description accuracy
• Shipping delays, customs duties, import taxes, or delivery issues
• Seller disputes, refunds, returns, or customer service
• Proxy service fees, exchange rate fluctuations, or additional charges

We use the following third-party services to operate GrailHunt:

• Stripe — for payment processing. Stripe’s terms of service and privacy policy apply to all payment transactions.
• Resend — for transactional and alert email delivery.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

• Market rate estimates and deal scores are approximations based on publicly available data. Actual resale values may vary significantly based on condition, size, timing, authentication, platform fees, and market fluctuations.
• Profit estimates are illustrative only and do not account for all possible costs, fees, or market conditions. They are not guarantees of profit.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any listing data, price comparisons, or deal assessments.
• GrailHunt is not a financial advisor. All purchasing and resale decisions are made at your own risk and discretion.
• We are not responsible for any financial losses, missed opportunities, or damages resulting from purchasing decisions made using our Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to GrailHunt in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GrailHunt, its owners, operators, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these terms or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect the Service.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal.
• Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately (or at the end of your current billing period for paid subscribers).
• Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington State.
